Royal Gun Salute
More than 180 employers and their guests attended the Royal Gun Salute on Saturday 11 June to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday at Hillsborough Castle. The Inspecting Officer was Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for the county of Londonderry, Colonel Denis Desmond CBE.
38 (Irish) Brigade Families Day – 31 July 2011
Employers and their families have been invited to attend this year’s 38 (Irish) Brigade Families Day on Sunday 31 July at Ballykinler Training Centre, Co Down.
This gives you the chance to meet members of the Regular and Reserve Forces and throughout the day there will be a variety of sporting competitions and capability demonstrations, a Combined Arms Display and the day will be concluded with a Beating the Retreat.
The stands will be open from 10am; the Combined Arms Display will take place at 3pm and the Beating the Retreat will conclude the day at 4pm. There will be lots of activities for children; including a mobile climbing tower, bouncy castles, mobile assault course and a teddy clinic.
